Width

Duration 1 mins | Episode 1 of Managing successful HTML email builds

Lets start with one of the basics - what's the ideal width for a designer to design an HTML email? The ideal width of your email depends on who your recipient is and what email client they're using.

Traditionally, a width of 600 pixels was considered the safe maximum for desktop email clients, as this would ensure the email displayed correctly on most screen sizes. This is because historically, the preview pane in many email clients, such as older versions of Microsoft Outlook, was about 600px wide.
